My name is Kodi Malott. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Journalism, but my true passion has always been baking. I got my first cookbook when I was in the 4th grade and I baked and decorated over 200 sugar cookies as favors at my wedding. My mom always baked our birthday cakes growing up, so I thought it would be a fun hobby and a great outlet to be creative. I started decorating cakes 2 years ago, and I learned the basics taking the Wilton classes at my local Michael's. I started out by testing my cakes on family and co-workers. I've now branched out to doing cakes for schools, weddings, etc.
Some say that it is better to give than to receive, and I truly believe that. I love making cakes because I love to see peoples' reactions and to help them celebrate the most memorable occasions in life.
My specialty is fondant figures and fondant applications on smooth buttercream. My cakes are made only a few days before the event to ensure freshness and they are never frozen. No idea is too outrageous. If you have a picture or idea, just give me a call.
